In another tragic death in the Indian diaspora, the bodies of two Indians were reported to have been found in a Scottish lake in the United Kingdom on Apr 18.
The bodies of Jitendranath Karuturi, 27, and Chanhakya Bolisetti, 22, were found in the Linn of Tummel, located around 117 km away from the capital Edinburgh in the north of Pitlochry.
Their bodies were found to have been floated further downstream.
Reports state that the drowned Indian students were pursuing a master’s degree from the University of Dundee.
They were accompanied to the confluence by two other friends studying with them, who immediately contacted the police and emergency services regarding this incident.
A thorough search operation was conducted, and the authorities are reportedly inquiring about the actual circumstances of this unfortunate accident.
The post-mortem was reportedly scheduled to be carried out today.
Both Karuturi and Bolisetti were reported to hail from Andhra Pradesh.
