Indian-origin teen Caitlin Sandra wins Miss India USA 2024

Indian-origin teenager Caitlin Sandra Neil was crowned Miss India USA 2024 at the annual pageant held in New Jersey, US.
The 19-year-old pageant winner is a second-year student at the University of California, Davis.
In a statement, she said that she wants to leave a 'positive lasting impact on my community and focus on women's empowerment and literacy'.
Caitlin was born in Chennai, India and has been living in the USA for the last 14 years, according to reports. Her aspirations include becoming a web designer and also pursuing a modelling and acting career.
Moreover, Sanskriti Sharma was crowned as Mrs India USA and Arshita Kathpalia won the Miss Teen India USA in the pageant organised by the India Festival Committee (IFC).
Earlier, Rijul Maini was crowned as Miss India USA 2023 while Sneha Nambiar won Mrs India USA 2023.
They both crowned Caitlin and Sanskriti, respectively.
Nirali Desia of Illinois and Manini Patel of New Jersey were declared first runner-up and second runner-up in the Miss India USA competition.
A total of 47 contestants from 25 states participated in the three categories of the pageant.
