Patan youth Accident

In another tragic death of an Indian in the US, 23-year-old Dinkar Siola, hailing from Patan, Gujarat, and working in a mall in Texas, died in an accident on Mar 17.

Siola was hit from behind by a truck driver when he was taking a stroll with a friend.

His body arrived in Ahmedabad on the night of Mar 29 and was taken to his residence in Patan by his family members.

The last rites were performed on the morning of Mar 30.

Siola moved to the US on a 10-year visitor visa in October 2023. His friend Karim, who runs a mall in Matagorda County, Texas, had offered him a job at his mall.

When on Mar 17, Siola was taking a walk with his friend, they were hit by an unknown truck driver from behind.

Siola succumbed to serious injuries and died on the spot.

Siola pushed his friend out of harm’s way from the truck during the accident, and hence he suffered only minor injuries.

Karim completed all the necessary procedures to send Siola’s body back to Patan.
