Four of Indian family die in apartment fire in Kuwait

Yet another fire incident in Kuwait claimed the lives of an Indian family of four from Kerala, including two children.
The family had just returned from a vacation in Kerala and fell victim to the fire accident, reported the media.
According to reports, Mathews Mulackal (40), his wife Lini Abraham (38) and two children succumbed to fire in a flat in Abbasiya on the night of July 19.

The fire broke out at 8 pm due to a short circuit in the air conditioner, and all four family members died due to suffocation. All of them were residents of Neerattupuram in Kuttanad, Alappuzha district, Kerala.
Mulackal worked for a news agency while his wife was employed as a staff nurse at a hospital in Al Ahmadi Governorate. Their children went to Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan Indian Educational School (Bhavans Smart Kuwait). According to a relative, Mulackal had been working in Kuwait for the past 15 years.
