The Army personnel are alleged to have stormed the Atholi police station of Kishtwar district after an Assistant Regional Transport officer (ARTO) seized an Army vehicle.

The reports suggested that the troops were armed with lathis, iron rods, and service weapons, entered the police station forcefully and police officers including ARTO and his Personal Security Officers (PSOs) were assaulted by the army.

A case was registered under the charges of attempted murder and destroying public property against troops, as per reports.

Meanwhile, the Army has said that they will cooperate with the investigation.
