In a shocking turn of events, one of the four accused in the NEET paper leak case, Anurag Yadav, has reportedly admitted to having used the leaked NEET question paper.

Yadav reportedly said that he was preparing for NEET (National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test — for admission in medical undergraduate courses across India) at the Allan Coaching Centre in Kota.

His uncle, Sikandar Yadavendu, a junior engineer, had called him on May 4, 2024, a day before the NEET 2024 exam, and had set up Yadav’s meeting with Amit Anand and Nitish Kumar.

According to Yadav, he was given a question paper and answer key, which he memorised throughout the night. He reportedly said that when he saw the question paper the next day, the questions were asked from the paper he was provided with the previous night.

Later, the police showed up and arrested me, said Yadav.

In his confessions, Yadav’s uncle, Yadavendu, has reportedly stated that he had helped four NEET aspirants named Ayush Raj, Shivandan Kumar, Abhishek Kumar, and his nephew, Anurag Yadav.

Not only that, Yadavendu also admitted to having leaked the question papers of the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) and Union Public Service Commission (UPSC).

All four candidates accused in the leak case stayed at the same accommodation in Patna, the bills for which have been obtained by the authorities.

The bill also mentions a guest named ‘Mantriji’, who accommodated the candidates.
