Man kills 4-year-old daughter after she fails to write 1 to 50 in Haryana

A 4-year-old girl was killed by her 31-year-old father with a rolling pin after she failed to write numbers 1 to 50 in Faridabad, Haryana.
Krishna Jaiswal, a native of Kheratiya village in Uttar Pradesh’s Sonbhadra district, who lives in a rented house in Faridabad, killed his daughter over not being able to write numbers from 1 to 50. After his wife's complaint, the police registered a case and arrested him.
The police said that the incident took place on the morning of January 21. Jaiswal had asked his daughter to write numbers 1 to 50, which she failed to write. This made him angry, so he took a rolling pin from the kitchen, and struck her repeatedly. After that he slammed her on the floor, which made her unconscious. He then took the child to hospital where she was declared dead. He called his wife and claimed that she fell from the stairs.
However, she grew suspicious upon seeing visible injury marks on the child’s body and reported the matter to the police, the officer said. “A case has been registered, and the accused has been remanded in police custody for further investigation. After the postmortem examination, the body was handed over to the family,” a Faridabad police spokesperson said.
During the interrogation, the police found that both husband and wife worked in private companies. When the mother went for work during the day, the father took care of their two children.
