Khalistani leader places $1m bounty on Amit Shah’s overseas travel info
US-based Khalistani separatist leader Gurpatwant Singh Pannun has announced a $1 million reward for information relating to the overseas travel plans of Indian Home Minister Amit Shah. The call, issued via a video shared on social media, comes amid rising tensions over the death of Khalistani activist Hardeep Singh Nijjar in Canada.
Accusing the CRPF of conducting extrajudicial killings of Sikhs and referencing events dating back to 1984, Pannun accused officials from KPS Gill to Vikash Yadav of being involved in these actions. He claimed that such incidents, which began in Punjab, have now spread to foreign countries. And, as head of the paramilitary force, he said, Amit Shah is responsible for hiring mercenaries, and that his offer was meant to “avenge” Nijjar’s killing.
Pannun also called for a shutdown of CRPF schools across New Delhi, Nagpur, Sonipat, Pinjore, and Jalandhar on October 26. Barely a week ago, on October 20, a blast damaged the wall of a CRPF school in Delhi's Rohini area and nearby vehicles.
Additionally, Pannun warned Air India passengers flying November 1–19 of possible attacks.
The Indian government is yet to issue an official statement regarding these threats. However, security agencies appear set to enhance vigilance and implement necessary measures to ensure the Home Minister's safety during foreign visits
