Internal rumblings within the ruling BJP in Gujarat came to the fore at the coordination committee meeting of the party where MLAs voiced their concerns against the administration.
“Even after repeated appeals, nothing is happening on the ground,” said the BJP MLAs in unison at the Coordination Committee meeting in Ahmedabad.
MLA Amit Shah said, “Complaints about encroachment on government land have fallen on deaf ears. Despite complaining about it 15 times to the committee, no satisfactory answer has been provided, no work has been done so far.”
MLA Amit Thaker complained about the thriving non-vegetarian vendors by the roadside. MLA Amul Bhatt, on the other hand, brought up the issue of Narol lake, which awaits development.
Bhatt said that if necessary steps are not taken to develop the Narol Lake, it will have a fate similar to that of Chandola Lake. Bhatt also complained to Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel about alleged harassment by the traffic police.
Another MLA went public by stating that corruption has increased in the state’s administrative system.
MLAs Kumar Kanani, Yogesh Patel, and more than 10 other MLAs have raised complaints against government officials with the CM.
