Discontent is brewing in the Gujarat BJP with 12 Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) raising their voice against the party prioritising officials over elected members.
The ruling party, according to these MLAs, has turned a deaf ear to the elected leaders and is only listening to the bureaucrats.
The 12 MLAs who have made their displeasure clear against the government are Yogesh Patel, Dhavalsinh Zala, Arvind Rana, Ketan Inamdar, Abhesinh Tadvi, Amul Bhatt, D K Swami, Shamji Chauhan, Kumar Kanani, Janak Talaviya, Sanjay Koradia, and Jitu Somani.
The MLAs have openly accused the government and the system of prioritising the officials and not the leaders elected by the public.
For them, districts are also run by office-bearers, similar to the Secretariat (Sachivalay) of the state.
