Jamnagar police have busted a drug supply network and arrested four men from Punjab after finding 418 grams of heroin worth about ₹83.6 lakh in a hotel, officials said.

The arrests came under the city’s ongoing “No Drugs in Jamnagar” campaign, led by local police and supported by the Special Operations Group (SOG). The team conducted a targeted raid in the Khawadi area, acting on specific information about drug trafficking activities.

During the raid at the SOG-identified hotel, officers found a large amount of heroin in possession of four people who had just arrived from Punjab. They were immediately taken into custody.

The accused have been named as Visalsingh, Harpritsingh, Bikramjitting, and Jagdipsingh. The police have registered a case under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act at Meghpar (Padana) police station and started questioning the suspects.

Initial questioning revealed that the seized heroin was supplied by a suspected supplier identified as Philips, also known as Fauji, from Amritsar, Punjab. Police have declared him a fugitive and intensified efforts to trace and apprehend him.

The investigation has now been extended to Punjab, where authorities are trying to identify the source and wider network behind the drug trafficking. This move follows other recent anti-drug operations in northern India, where police have been cracking down on heroin trafficking and cross-border smuggling networks.

Police said the operation reflects ongoing efforts by law enforcement to disrupt drug supply chains and reduce illegal narcotics distribution in the region. They are reviewing mobile data, travel routes, and possible links to larger trafficking rings. Proceedings in the case are continuing.
