Ex-Gujarat BJP leader to secure key national position?

The results of Lok Sabha polls may come with a shake-up in the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) as speculations arise about appointing a new national general secretary of the party.
Traditionally, the BJP has always appointed the general secretary from the Rashtriya SwayamSevak Sangh (RSS). With reports of current general secretary BL Santosh’s fading inclination in the party matters, Modi may zero in on the loyalist Gujarat general secretary Bhikhu Dalsaniya for the national post.
Santosh was reportedly absent or less highlighted during the campaigning in his native Karnataka.
According to sources, Being a cogent Modi loyalist during his tenure as CM in Gujarat, Dalsaniya enjoyed the position of state general secretary.
The situation remained the same even after Modi’s tenure and Dalsaniya was given the same position in Bihar state.
With the speculation rife of Modi’s losing interest in Santosh, the dark horse- Dalsaniya may win the race and rise as national general secretary.
