Bride's father calls off wedding after groom dances to 'Choli ke peeche' song

In a sudden turn of events, a man cancelled his daughter's wedding in New Delhi after the groom started dancing to the tunes of 'Choli ke peeche' at the wedding venue. The song from the 1993 Sanjay Dutt-starrer, 'Khalnayak', had become a hit among the masses.

The bride's father was so offended by the groom dancing to the song, that he called off the ceremony, stating that it was against their family's values.

The groom arrived in a procession at the venue with family and friends for the wedding on January 18. When celebrations began, his friends asked him to join in the song and dance. At the time, the popular Bollywood number, 'Choli ke peeche', was being played. Egged on by his friends, the groom too started dancing to the tune. This did not go down well with the bride's father, who was so upset that he stopped the ceremony and called off the wedding, stating that it was an insult to the family's values.

The bride was in tears, even as the groom tried to explain to the bride's father that it was all in fun. But the father would have none of it. He walked away with the bride and forbade any further contact between their family and the groom's family.
