Days following a tragic stampede and two fire incidents at the Mahakumbh 2025 in Prayagraj, another fire was reported inSector 19 on Sunday morning.

According to reports, Rajendra Jaiswal, a resident of Karma Prayagraj, was staying in the Omprakash Pandey Seva Sanstha’s Kalpavasi tent. Early in the morning, food was being prepared using a gas cylinder inside the tent. Suddenly, a fire erupted, believed to be from the gas leakage.

Upon receiving information about the fire, the fire department team quickly arrived at the scene and the fire was doused before it could spread further.

However, all the belongings inside the tent were completely destroyed. Fortunately, no casualties were reported in the incident.

This is the second fire incident in recent days. Just two days earlier, on February 7, a fire had broken out in the ISKCON kitchen at Sector 18, Shankaracharya Road, during the Mahakumbh.

The fire caused panic, and more than 22 tents were destroyed. The fire brigade reached the scene promptly, and after a major effort, the fire was brought under control. No casualties were reported, and it was later found that the fire was caused by a burst air conditioner gas cylinder.

Additionally, on January 30, a fire broke out in several tents at Sector 22, destroying 15 of them. Earlier, in Sector 2, two cars caught fire, causing a stir. On January 19, a fire broke out in the grass used for the tents at Sector 19, resulting in the destruction of 18 cottages.

Despite multiple fire incidents in the Mahakumbh area, no strict measures have been implemented to prevent such events.
