The explosion occurred at a firecracker factory located opposite a dumping station in Kapadvanj.

After hearing the loud blast, residents of nearby villages came out of their houses and gathered at the spot.

Soon after receiving information, police and fire department teams reached the location and started rescue operations.

Provincial Officer Anil Jhala said that at the time of the incident, around 5 to 6 workers were present inside the factory.

Two workers, who suffered serious injuries, were shifted to hospitals in Nadiad and Ahmedabad for further treatment.
