Los Angeles mansion party shooting leaves teen dead, five injured

A mansion party in Los Angeles’ Woodland Hills neighborhood turned tragic early Sunday morning when gunfire left a 16-year-old boy dead and five others injured.

The incident occurred around 1.30 am at a large gathering on Winnetka Avenue, attended by an estimated 200 to 300 people. Police reported that an argument escalated into a shooting, causing chaos as partygoers fled.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD), multiple shots were fired during the altercation. Witness accounts suggest the suspect opened fire while being escorted out of the mansion, fatally striking the teenage victim, whose identity has not yet been released.

The other five victims, ranging in age from 19 to 34 years, were taken to nearby hospitals and are reported to be stable. Authorities have not released further information about their injuries.

Investigators are actively searching for the shooter, but no arrests have been made, and no suspect details have been released. Authorities are urging anyone who attended the party or has information about the shooting to come forward and contact the LAPD.
