In another mass shooting in New York’s Queens in USA, 11 people were injured on Wednesday night (local time) at the Amazura nightclub in the neighbourhood.

The New York city’s police have not yet revealed any details about the shooting. The NYPD (New York Police Department) have suspected the attack may be an act of terrorism and have begun an investigation. 

Earlier, on New Year’s Eve, a man “hell-bent on carnage” caused terror in New Orleans by driving a vehicle, flying an Islamic State flag, into a crowd celebrating the dawn of the New Year. The attack left 10 people dead and at least 35 injured, according to officials.

The man, who was killed in a shootout with police, was identified by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) as Shamsud-Din Bahar Jabbar, a 42-year-old US citizen from Texas.

The FBI said it was “working to determine the subject’s potential associations and affiliations with terrorist organizations.”
