A woman residing in Naroda, Ahmedabad, died by suicide with her 7-year-old son by jumping from the third floor of their apartment. She first threw her son off the balcony before taking her own life. The woman had called her parents the previous day, expressing her deep distress and stating that she could no longer bear the harassment inflicted by her in-laws.

The Naroda police have registered a case against the woman's husband, a police officer, her retired ASI (Assistant Sub Inspector) father-in-law, and other family members, under charges of harassment and other relevant sections. Further investigation is currently underway.

Miteshkumar Vaniya, a police officer hailing from Sabarkantha and currently residing in Naroda, is the husband of the deceased woman.

Miteshkumar and Viroj were married in 2014. Allegedly, after five years of marriage, the woman's retired father-in-law began torturing her. Additionally, her husband, Miteshkumar, also physically abused her.

On Friday, the woman shared her distress with her parents, who assured her they would visit her on Saturday.

However, unable to endure the stress, on Saturday morning she tragically took her own life and that of her 7-year-old son. She first dropped her son from the third floor of their building and then jumped off herself, resulting in the deaths of both.
