Two senior Gujarat cadre IAS officers promoted

The General Administration Department (GAD) of the government of Gujarat on Wednesday announced promotion of two senior IAS officers, IAS Vatsala Vasudeva and IAS D Thara, by the order of the Governer of Gujarat.

IAS Vatsala Vasudeva (RR:GJ:1995), Managing Director, Gujarat Industries Power Company Ltd, Vadodara, was promoted to the Grade of Additional Chief Secretary to Government, which is 17th level in pay matrix (₹2,25,000 fixed).

She will continue to function as Managing Director of the Gujarat Industries Power Company Ltd, Vadodara, against the Ex-cadre post, which is separately being equated with IAS Cadre post of ‘Additional Chief Secretary to Government’.

IAS D Thara (RR:GJ:1995), Additional Secretary to Government of India, Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs, New Delhi, was given proforma promotion to the Grade of Additional Chief Secretary to Government, which is 17th level in pay matrix (₹2,25,000 fixed), and her services are continued to be placed at the disposal of Government of India.
