Top 10 candidates with highest winning margins in Gujarat
BJP state president CR Patil won with the highest margin of 7,73,551 votes

While BJP’s clean sweep dreams are shattered in Gujarat, the top 10 victories in the state with the highest vote margins all went to the ruling party.
BJP state president CR Patil effortlessly claimed victory in Navsari garnering 10,31,065 votes and defeating Naishadh Desai with the highest margin of 7,73,551 votes.
Gandhinagar, once considered Congress’ fortress, is today believed to be a one-sided cakewalk for Union Home Minister Amit Shah. While in previous general elections Shah won with a margin of 5.57 lakh, in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, he won with a margin of 7.44 lakh votes.
The seat that saw internal stir in BJP, Vadodara’s debutant candidate Dr Hemang Joshi won with the third highest margin of 5.82 lakh.
Rajpalsinh Jadav, the BJP candidate in Panchmahal seat won with the margin of 5,09,342 votes.
The epicentre of Kshatriya protest, a major stir across the state, BJP Union Minister and Rajkot candidate Parshottam Rupala has garnered a significant margin of 4,84,260 votes defeating Patidar counterpart Paresh Dhanani of Congress. Ahead of Lok Sabha elections, Rupala was in centre of a major backlash after he remarked on the erstwhile kings which angered the Kshatriyas of Gujarat and across the country.
In the electoral arena of Gujarat’s Ahmedabad East, the stage was set for a contest between incumbent BJP MP Hasmukh Patel and Congress’ Himmatsingh Patel after the grand old party’s (GOP) earlier candidate Rohan Gupta quit ahead of elections. BJP candidate Patel has claimed victory with the margin of 4,61,755 votes.
In Bhavnagar, a contest was set between AAP and Congress combined candidate Umesh Makwana and BJP’s Nimu Bambhaniya. However, the latter one striked a massive win with margin of 4,55,289 in Bhavnagar.
BJP’s Jashu Rathva secured a victory for BJP from the Chhotaudepur (ST) seat, defeating Congress’ Sukhram Rathva with a margin of 3,98,777 votes.
Union Minister Dr Mansukh Mandaviya was fielded in Porbandar who won with the margin of 3,83,360, benefiting the party.
In Kheda, Devusinh Chauhan won against Kalusinh Dabhi of Congress with a margin of 3,57,758 votes.
A total of four leaders including CR PAtil, Amit Shah, Dr Hemang Joshi, and Rajpalsinh Jadav have crossed the margin bar of 5 lakh votes in Gujarat.
