SIT to be formed in Godhra NEET cheating scam

The Panchmahal police on May 10 formed a special investigation team (SIT) to probe the controversial NEET cheating scam that came to light on May 9 in Gujarat’s Godhra.
Led by the investigation officer and sub-divisional police officer of Godhra, NV Patel, the SIT consists of special operation group (SOG) police inspector (PI) RA Patel, SOG PI RN Patel, cyber cell PI Ankur Chaudhary, wireless PSI (police sub-inspector) PJ Parekh, staff of sub-divisional police officer, Godhra, and the staff of Taluka police station, Godhra.
Probing into the matter, the SIT has started the interrogation of Parshuram Roy, and the offices of Roy Overseas were sealed, seizing documents, laptops, and other valuables from the sites, and are sent to FSL (Forensic Science Laboratory) for investigation.
Teams have been formed to nab Tushar Bhatt and Arif Vora, who are absconding.
NEET cheating scam in Godhra
On May 9, the team of additional district collectors and district education officer (DEO) busted a cheating racket in the NEET exam, where the students were offered a solved question paper in advance in exchange for money.
The DEO filed a complaint at the Godhra Taluka police against
Tushar Bhatt, a teacher at the Jai Jalaram School in Godhra, Parshuram Roy, owner of Roy Overseas, and Arif Vora, as the accused.
The AAP district president Dinesh Baria has demanded a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) investigation into the matter.
