Senior IAS officer Rajeev Topno’s return to Gujarat on the cards

Rajeev Topno, a 1996-batch IAS officer of the Gujarat cadre, is set to return to Gujarat after serving on deputation for an extensive 15-year period, according to sources in the state secretariat.

He is slated to assume the position of principal secretary at the Chief Minister’s Office upon his return.

Of his 15 years on deputation, Topno dedicated a significant 10 years to the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), where he served as the Private Secretary to the PM.

Topno has had the unique experience of serving under both former PM Dr Manmohan Singh and current PM Narendra Modi during his tenure at the PMO.

Most recently, he was senior advisor at the World Bank.
