Updated: Apr 12th, 2024

As the protests of the Kshatriya community against Parshottam Rupala prevailed, a ruckus followed in Rajkot between Kshatriya women and Gujarat police on Apr 11.

Agitated Kshatriya women poured into two prime locations near the BJP office at 150 ft Ring Road and Ramapir Chokdi in Rajkot.

In the video that surfaced online, women police were seen detaining Kshatriya women forcefully. A melee was witnessed at both locations in Rajkot, where Kshatriya women in large numbers gathered to protest against Rupala.

Kshatriya leader Padminiba Vala was also detained in the skirmish in Rajkot.

Recently, in a BJP event in Jamnagar’s Neelkamal Society area, women from the local Kshatriya community raised slogans against and disrupted the programme.

A mirroring incident was witnessed in the Woollen Mill area of Jamnagar, where Kshatriya women disrupted the event, and the present women police personnel brought the situation under control.

While addressing the party workers, Rupala reportedly said attempts are underway to aggravate the atmosphere, and he urged everyone to keep their patience and control.
