Rajkot SMC arrests 3 in illegal stock market trading, seizes goods worth ₹18 lakh

The Gujarat State Monitoring Cell raided a commercial building in Rajkot in connection with illegal stock marketing, popularly known as dabba trading, and seized goods worth approximately ₹18 lakh, which included vehicles, mobile phones, computers, laptops, and other electronic devices.
On March 2, SMC head VS Jadeja, along with his team, raided the Madhav Complex near Yagmik Road in Rajkot and seized one vehicle, five mobile phones, one computer, a laptop, and a printer.
Other than that, cash of ₹1,72,000 and electronic devices like a Wi-Fi device, charger, cable, DVR, hard disc, etc. were also seized by the police.
The police arrested three people – all residents of Rajkot – named Rakesh Dhirajlal Popat, Mukesh Mithabhai Viradiya, and Mahesh Ravibhai Parmar and filed case against them, under 316(5), 318(4), 319(2), 238 of the Bhartiya Nyay Sanhita 2023 and sections 66, 66(C), and 66(D) of the IT Act.
In addition to these three, the police are also searching for five more people named Mihir Manojbhai Kalyani, Kamlesh, Ashok, Nattu kaka, and Jaydeep.
Further investigation is underway.
