Poster scandal in Gujarat BJP party’s own doing, suggests IB report

Updated: Mar 25th, 2024

Ahead of the Lok Sabha elections, Gujarat politics is witnessing internal commotion brewing among the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders.

The BJP candidates have accused Atladara and Warasiya police of biased duty regarding negative campaign posters against the party workers in Vadodara. While political discussions are ongoing, a report on the BJP leader and worker’s interference in this case has been sent to Gandhinagar by the Intelligence Bureau (IB).

The investigation into this issue was suggested to be conducted by higher authorities, including the IB. Notably, local police identified the city Congress chief, Rutvij Joshi, as the main source of information.

Various posters propagating against BJP leaders were spotted near Vadodara’s Zaver Nagar Society, Gandhi Park Society, and Lallubhai Park Society in Harni.

Among them, one banner was campaigning against BJP candidate Ranjan Bhatt, who has now backed out from her Lok Sabha candidature.
