Updated: Apr 4th, 2024
In the Parshottam Rupala meltdown, while the Kshtariya community is adamant about not accepting the apology, the Patel community has joined in the discourse to second Rupala.
As caste political drama flared up in Gujarat, in the chaos between the Kshatriya community and the BJP, the Patidar community entered the chat in support of Rupala.
Individuals from the Patel community have expressed their solidarity with Rupala and requested Kshatriyas to close the matter.
Jyoti Tilva, whose Facebook account describes her as a social activist, posted her views on social media, saying, “Parshottam Rupala has publicly apologised 2-3 times, showing communal unity and harmony. Kshtriyas should accept the apology from Rupala.”
Many other Patel individuals’ comments were also lurking across social media, representing solidarity with Rupala, who is also from that community.
“We all should come forward and support Rupala,” another post read.
Kshatriya community members met with BJP leaders on Apr 3, but the meeting was unproductive. They issued an ultimatum to the BJP to cancel Rupala’s ticket by 5 p.m. today (Apr 4).
