In the case of a minor rape case in Chanasma taluka of Patan, it was revealed that the accused was harboured by Mehsana district BJP Yuva Morcha (BJYM) leader Gaurav Chaudhary. The Patan police has nabbed Gaurav from his residence.

Six months ago, Patan police had arrested Bhuvo Shankar Chaudhary for raping a minor.

He even filmed the whole act and circulated it on social media.

After the minor’s father got to know about the incident, he filed a case with the Chanasma police.

During the questioning of Shankar, it was revealed that the BJYM leader Gaurav had sheltered Shankar at an unknown place and also arranged for the accused’s food and accommodation, and hid his phone.

According to reports, the accused was known to the minor’s mother. He reportedly took the minor on Patan highway and repeatedly raped her.
