Middle-aged man arrested for sexually assaulting minor in Surat’s Palsana

As the nation heard the verdict of the gruesome rape and murder case of RG Kar Medical College and Hospital doctor on Monday, Gujarat witnessed a disturbing case of sexual assault on a minor in Surat’s Palsana.
A middle-aged man was arrested by Kadodara police for sexually assaulting the 4-year-old daughter of a worker.
The accused took the minor to his room, approximately 1.5 km away from his parent’s home where she was playing and sexually assaulted her. The minor was soaked in blood when she was sent back.
On returning home, her parents were shocked to see her condition and immediately filed a complaint at Kodara police station.
Looking at the gravity of the incident, the police began investigation and checked CCTV footage.
The accused has been booked under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO).
A similar horrific case was unearthed last month when a 10-year-old was sexually assaulted by a neighbour who later confessed to inserting a foreign object into her.
The innocent child couldn’t survive the gruesome attack and succumbed to her injuries.
