Man found dead inside parked car under Navrangpura metro bridge in Ahmedabad, probe on

A mysterious death has sparked concern in Ahmedabad's Navrangpura area after a young man's body was found inside a parked car beneath a Metro bridge near City Gold Theatre on Monday.

According to police, locals noticed the man lying in suspicious circumstances inside a blue-coloured car parked near a Metro pillar and immediately alerted authorities. Police teams rushed to the spot and launched an investigation.

The deceased has been identified as Vikas, a resident of the Navrangpura area, based on an identity card recovered from the vehicle. During the preliminary examination, investigators found no visible external injury marks on the body, leaving the exact cause of death unclear.

Police also recovered a liquor bottle from inside the car. While no foul play has been established so far, officials have not ruled out any possibility and are treating the case as suspicious pending further investigation.

According to initial assumptions, the man may have been heavily intoxicated and remained inside the vehicle after it reportedly ran out of fuel. However, police said the exact circumstances leading to his death will only be known after forensic examination and the post-mortem report.

A team from the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) was called to the scene to collect evidence and assist in determining the cause of death. The body has been sent for post-mortem examination.

Police said further investigation is underway, and the exact cause of death will be established once forensic and medical reports are received.
