Lok Sabha Polls 2024: BJP-Congress head-to-head names in Gujarat 26 seats
The BJP has announced names for all the 26 seats while Congress declared for 17.

It is the D-day and H-hour for both the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Congress as the Lok Sabha elections are nearing in Gujarat after a month in phase 3.
In the state, the ruling party, the BJP, secured victory in all 26 Lok Sabha seats during the 2014 and 2019 general elections.
However, the scene so far in the political landscape of Gujarat is like this– the Congress, as a part of the INDIA bloc, will be contesting with its candidates for 24 seats.
With the Congress and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) sharing seats, AAP candidates will be running in Bharuch and Bhavnagar constituencies.
Recently, the BJP released its fourth list of candidates contesting the upcoming general elections, which included the names of the remaining candidates. Therefore, the BJP has announced candidates for all 26 seats.
Meanwhile, the Congress has unveiled its candidates for 17 out of the 24 in Gujarat. Furthermore, the party has designated two seats, Bharuch and Bhavnagar, to its ally, the AAP of the INDIA bloc, which has also declared its candidates for these constituencies.

The BJP announced its first list on Mar 2, which disclosed 15 candidates in Gujarat; furthermore, the second list was announced on Mar 13 with seven names; and the recently released fifth list announced the remaining names for the state’s 26 seats.
