Kathi Kshatriyas termed their earlier statement ‘half truth’

Updated: Apr 13th, 2024

In the latest development regarding the Parshottam Rupala controversy in Gujarat, Kathi Kshatriya community representatives gave another statement today.

Addressing a press conference, Kathi Kshatriya community leaders asserted that the statements that were made earlier need to be clarified as they are only ‘half-truths’.

Protest shall prevail: Kathi Kshatriya

“We have no opposition to the BJP or any other individual. We maintain boundaries; this community has always been with the BJP,” said the leaders in the presser.

“If something that is within you and comes out cannot be termed as ‘slip of tongue’ it may never be forgiven,” they added.

They highlighted the importance of maintaining respect for women in society and asserted that the agitation would persist until Rupala's candidature was withdrawn.

On the contrary, the core committee meeting of the Kathi community also emphasised that they will not take part in any protest activities on Apr 14. They clarified their support for the party, saying it (the BJP) “built the Ram temple”.
