Gujarat Vidhan Sabha calendar out, budget to be presented on Feb 20

The Gujarat Legislative Assembly’s 2025-26 budget session will be presented by Finance Minister Kanu Desai on February 20.

The session, which will run from February 19, 2025, to March 28, 2025, will include 27 sittings. On the first day of the session, there will be the Governor’s address, an expression of thanks, a mention of condolences, and the presentation of government ordinances.

Since this is a budget session, the budget will be presented on February 20, which will include a supplementary statement of expenditures for the years 2009-10 and 2010-11, the presentation of the supplementary statement for the fiscal year 2024-2025, and the introduction of the budget for the fiscal year 2025-2026.

Additionally, there will be discussions on the budget, government resolutions, discussions on demands, and the introduction of both government and non-government ordinances.

In the 2024-25 budget, the finance minister presented a budget of ₹3,32,465 crores in the Assembly.

The Parliament’s Budget Session is set to commence on January 31 and will continue until April 4. On February 1, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the Union Budget.
