The Gujarat government will commence the procurement process for wheat at the Minimum Support Price (MSP) of ₹2,585 per quintal for the Rabi Marketing Season 2026-27, in line with the price fixed by the central government.

The initiative, managed by the Gujarat State Civil Supplies Corporation Ltd. (GSCSC), continues the state's annual practice of ensuring farmers receive remunerative prices for their produce while supporting the public distribution system.

Farmers interested in selling their wheat at the MSP must register online at the village level through Village Computer Entrepreneurs (VCEs) or designated facilitators. The registration window opens from February 1 to March 1, 2026, and requires biometric authentication linked to the farmer's account.

Procurement operations at designated MSP centres will run from March 4 to May 15, 2026. Purchases will only proceed following successful biometric verification of the registered account holder.

Authorities have emphasised strict verification measures, warning that any incorrect or fraudulent documents submitted during registration will lead to cancellation and the farmers will not be notified of procurement.

The GSCSC has urged all eligible farmers to complete the mandatory online registration promptly and seek assistance from their local Gram Panchayat if required.
