Five more government employees retired compulsorily in Gujarat
The Gujarat government has compulsorily retired five more officers, bringing the total number of employees retired compulsorily to 21 this month.
These employees were involved in corruption or illegal activities. Following their retirement, investigations will continue against them.
According to the Gujarat Civil Service (Pension) Rules, 2002, Class-III employees are eligible for early retirement in the public interest.
The retirees include Jaywantsinh Parmar of the Vadodara Irrigation Circle, Pradip Damor, and Shailesh Desai from the Sardar Sarovar Narmada Corporation, Babu Desai from the Sujlam-Suflam Circle-2 in Mehsana, and Arvind Mahala from the Surat Irrigation Circle.
Among these employees, the punishment order against Shailesh Desai is still under review, as the execution of the order is ongoing.
The departmental inquiry and criminal case against Babu and Mahala will continue even after their premature retirement. With these five new retirements, the total number of officers and employees compulsorily retired this month will rise to 21. Despite the early retirements, departmental investigations into all these officers and employees will continue.
