Fire breaks out at spa center in Vadodara, no injuries reported

A fire broke out in a multi-storey building in Vadodara this afternoon, at a spa center on the sixth floor of a complex called Everest Onyx, near Inox in the Elora Park area. 

This fire damaged the furniture and the belongings to the spa centre. All this led to a stampede and caused panic, when people were trying to get down in lift and the power supply was disrupted and the lift stalled. The fire brigade arrived and started working on controlling the fire and people who were stuck in the lift were also rescued. 

Fortunately, people managed to escape in time, avoiding major casualties.

Last month, A fire broke out at a gym operating inside the Shangrila-2 Arcade near Shyamal Crossroads in Ahmedabad, prompting a large-scale firefighting and rescue operation in which several people were evacuated from the commercial complex.

According to preliminary information, the blaze originated from an AC unit in the gym located inside the building and intensified within minutes, spreading upward to the fourth floor of the arcade. The fire also extended to the ground-floor branch of Kotak Mahindra Bank housed in the complex.

As thick smoke engulfed the building, panic gripped occupants and visitors inside the premises.Fire department officials said teams launched an immediate rescue operation after several people were trapped on the upper floors.
