Family of five drowns in lake in Patan’s Chanasma

A tragic incident occurred in the lake of Vadavali village in the Chanasma taluka of Patan, where five people of the same family, including children, lost their lives due to drowning on Sunday. 

According to the reports, a person slipped into the village lake, and in an attempt to save him, others drowned as well. Following the incident, the villagers pulled out the drowned people, including children, and rushed them to the hospital for treatment. 

The incident resulted in the deaths of five people, including children, as well as the son of the village panchayat’s worker. The deceased have been identified as Mehra Kalubhai Malek (8), Abdul Qadir Kalubhai Malek (10), Simran Saleembhai Sipahi (12), Sohail Rahimbhai Qureshi (14), and Firoza Kalubhai Malek (32). The bodies of the deceased have been sent for postmortem.
