A family from Ahmedabad on their way from Bhuj to Dhorado met with an accident, resulting in the death of young girl and injuries to her mother and brother.

Mahindra Kodawala, a resident of Ahmedabad, had gone to Kutch for a vacation with his family. On Wednesday, the family was travelling to Dhorado, from where they were to return to Ahmedabad.

The car which was reportedly speeding met with an accident near the Loria checkpoint, before Chand Farm in Vekriyana Rann. The car bounced into a pit and turned over. Kodawala's 8-year-old daughter succumbed to serious injuries.

Meanwhile, Kodawala, his wife, and son, sustained injuries, and they were shifted to Bhuj General Hospital by a 108 ambulance.

The Madhapar police have filed a case and initiated legal action.
