Adding to the statewide death toll of accidents on Gujarat’s roads, two horrific road accidents occurred in Saurashtra, taking four lives.

Three people died on the spot and three others were severely injured early this morning on the Morbi-Wankaner highway.

The accident occurred between a car and a dumper truck near Bandhunagar on the Morbi-Wankaner national highway.

The car was completely crushed in the accident, while the truck overturned on the road.

The deceased have been identified as Tushar Malviya, Varun Waskale, and Mahesh Singar. While the injured, a woman, a girl, and another person, were rushed to a Morbi hospital for treatment.

The police reached the accident spot and initiated an investigation into this matter.

GSRTC bus runs over man in Amreli

In another accident in the region, a person died after being hit by a Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation (GSRTC) bus near Nagpath bus stop in Amreli.

A middle-aged man, Hasmukh Vyas, was passing near the Amreli bus stop on a moped when he was suddenly hit from behind by a speeding ST bus.

The bus was on its way to Bhoringda from Amreli. Due to the impact, Vyas fell to the ground and was severely injured.

People present at the scene immediately took the injured to the hospital for treatment, but he was declared dead upon reaching the hospital.
