Four Killed as Fuel Tank Explodes Inside Tempo Near Kotda Jadodar in Kutch

Four members of a family, including two young children, were killed on the spot when a diesel tank carried inside a mini-tempo exploded near Kotda Jadodar village in Nakhatrana taluka of Kutch district.

The catastrophic blast occurred without warning, engulfing the vehicle in flames before the occupants could escape. Local residents rushed to the scene upon hearing the deafening explosion, but the intensity of the fire left no room for rescue efforts.

Police Launch Probe into Blast Cause

Emergency response teams and local police officers arrived shortly after receiving reports from villagers. Authorities recovered four charred bodies from the debris, transferring them to a nearby government hospital for post-mortem examinations and formal identification.

Preliminary investigations indicate that the victims belonged to a single family travelling together in the commercial utility vehicle. Police have cordoned off the area and registered a case to determine what triggered the diesel tank to detonate so violently. Technical experts are currently examining the burnt wreckage to ascertain whether a mechanical defect, fuel leakage, or external impact caused the fatal explosion.
