Deesa BJP leader accuses MLA of the district of harassing her
A BJP leader of Deesa Municipal Corporation, Sangeeta Dave, has reportedly resigned from her position after accusing BJP MLA of Deesa, Pravin Mali, of mental torture and harassment.
Dave reportedly wrote a letter to Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, accusing Mali of harassment.
In her letter to the BJP, she raised serious allegations against MLA Mali and his supporters, claiming they repeatedly pressured her to work against the rules regarding illegal shopping centres and constructions.
She also questioned why the Town Planning (TP) scheme should only be implemented in farms in particular survey numbers, and criticised the implementation of the controversial TP scheme that had been cancelled earlier.
She alleged that she could not support the wrongdoings of MLA Mali, as it could harm the reputation of Deesa, the party, and the government.
The ruling BJP councillors in Deesa Municipality have been clearly divided into two factions, one led by the current MLA and the other by former MLAs, leading to factionalism affecting the administration. Earlier, the chairpersons and office bearers of various committees had resigned, attempting to pressure the party to remove the female president. Subsequently, a no-confidence motion was brought against her, with 27 councillors , including 12 from BJP, 3 BJP supporters, and 5 independents, signing it.
These allegations made by Dave have now created a political uproar in Deesa amid the accusations of mental harassment and torture against MLA Pravin Mali.
