An accident occurred at the Okha jetty in Gujarat’s Dwarka when a crane collapsed, resulting in the deaths of an engineer, a supervisor, and a labourer. Upon receiving the news, emergency response teams including an ambulance, fire brigade, police, and coast guard rushed to the scene.

According to reports, the accident happened during ongoing construction work at the Okha jetty when the crane unexpectedly collapsed. Two individuals were crushed under the crane, while another fell into the sea. The two individuals trapped under the crane died on the spot, and the third person who had fallen into the sea was rescued but succumbed to injuries before reaching the hospital.

The deceased have been identified as Jiten Karadi, Arvind Kumar, and Nishant Singh. Their bodies have been sent for post-mortem to a nearby civil hospital.

Dwarka Collector G T Pandya confirmed the incident, stating that three people had lost their lives and that the work was being carried out at the coast guard jetty under the supervision of the Gujarat Maritime Board.
