Part of bullet train construction collapses near Anand, three dead

A part of the elevated construction of the Ahmedabad-Mumbai bullet train project collapsed in Rajpara near Vasad in Anand, killing three of the labourers out of four trapped under the debris.
The deceased include Prahlad Bariya (resident of Godhra), Ranjitsinh (resident of Bihar), and Ashok Solanki (resident of Rajupura). Kamlesh Gaechi (resident of Vasad) was severely injured and undergoing treatment at a hospital in Vadodara.
The incident created a ruckus in the area. After the incident was reported, senior police officials and a convoy including an ambulance rushed to the spot.
Immediate rescue and relief operations were carried out by the fleet including the police, and cranes were also used to clear out heavy debris with the help of locals.
