Couple killed in Tapi district of Gujarat as tempo crashes into parked truck

A tragic road accident near Vadpada village in Tapi’s Umarpada taluka claimed the lives of a couple on Thursday. The incident occurred when a light commercial vehicle rammed the rear of a truck parked along the roadside.

As per reports, the parked truck was stationed on the road near Vadpada village when a speeding light commercial vehicle, approaching from behind, crashed into it with great force.

The people travelling on the light commercial vehicle, identified as Harish Konkani and Lata Konkani, suffered fatal injuries and died on the spot. Local residents rushed to the site immediately after the accident to assist.

Police investigation underway

Following the incident, the local police arrived at the scene. The bodies were sent for post-mortem examination, and authorities have launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of the crash. Both the truck and the tempo have been seized for further legal proceedings.
