Couple found inside Congress MLA’s government quarter in Gandhinagar, no offence registered

Gandhinagar Police conducted an inquiry after receiving information that a couple was staying inside the official MLA quarters located in Sector 21. Acting on the tip-off, a team led by Sector 21 Police Inspector Rekha Sisodia reached the location and found the couple inside the government accommodation allotted to Congress MLA Anant Patel.

According to police, both individuals were taken to the police station for questioning. Preliminary inquiry revealed that the two knew each other for a long time and that their families were also acquainted. Police confirmed that both were adults — the woman is a college student, while the man works in a private firm.

Investigators said the couple had come to the MLA quarters as they were known to Anant Patel’s personal assistant (PA). The families of both individuals were informed and later arrived at the police station.

Police stated that no offence has been registered in the matter as both individuals were adults and no complaint was received from any party.
