Collision between truck, private bus kills seven in Kutch

A tragic accident occurred on Kera Mundra Road, Kutch, early morning on Friday involving a truck and a private bus.

According to reports, the bus was carrying approximately 40 passengers, out of which, 7 died on the spot and 15 were injured. Authorities fear the death toll may rise.

As soon as the accident was reported, police and ambulances arrived at the scene and began transporting the injured to nearby hospitals.

Further details of the accident will be revealed after the police complete their investigation.

Accident rise in Gujarat

The number of accidents in Gujarat is rising, causing concerns over the road safety. Earlier, on February 18, an overspeeding truck ran over eight women in Balambha village of Jodiya, Jamnagar, killing three and injuring five.

Before that, on February 17, four people lost their lives in three separate road accidents across Ahmedabad. Two motorcyclists in Bopal succumbed to their injuries after being hit by a speeding car, while another fatal accident involving a truck occurred near Chandkheda, killing an elderly pedestrian.

On February 15, a high-speed car lost control and caused a severe accident near Mithakhali, Ahmedabad. The car rammed into multiple vehicles, resulting in the death of a woman and injuries to three others. The incident took place near the derasar, beside HCG Hospital, raising concerns about reckless driving in the city.
