The expansion of the Gujarat ministerial cabinet is finally happening. The swearing-in ceremony of the new ministers in Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel’s BJP government will take place at Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar on Friday.

Gujarat Governor Acharya Devvrat will administer the oath of office and secrecy to the newly inducted ministers at 11.30 am.

According to sources, Governor Acharya Devvrat will arrive in Gujarat on Thursday, while BJP national president JP Nadda is expected to reach the state later at night on Thursday. Union Home Minister Amit Shah may also visit Gujarat during this time. The government has maintained strict confidentiality about who will be included or excluded from the cabinet to prevent any leaks.

All BJP MLAs have been instructed to remain in Gandhinagar on Thursday and Friday, and many have already started heading to the state capital. It is learned that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah have given the final approval to the list of ministers, which will soon be announced.

Preparations are already underway at Swarnim Sankul-2, where cleaning work has begun in ministerial offices. This time, the cabinet is expected to include more than 20 ministers.
