Gujarat police nab AAP worker driving school van with drugs worth ₹6 lakh

Indicating how widespread the narcotics menace is in Gujarat, a school van in Gujarat was found transporting drugs.
Acting on a tip-off, Bharuch Special Operations Group (SOG) set up a watch on Rahadpor Road for a school van.
When it arrived, SOG personnel stopped the van. On checking the vehicle, 62 gm of Methamphetamine or meth drugs worth ₹6,20,000 were recovered. The driver, Prakash Patel, a resident of Rahadpor, was arrested, and his vehicle seized.
The total value of goods seized from him were worth ₹7,10,100. Patel, who claimed to be an Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) worker, revealed the place in Vadodara from where he had sourced the drugs.
The police have launched a manhunt for his contacts in Vadodara and filed for Patel’s remand.
