As the candidates have started filling in the nomination forms across Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar, BJP candidate Dinesh Makwana filed their nomination form for the Ahmedabad West Lok Sabha seat on Apr 16.

Makwana and his wife own assets worth ₹14.17 crore, according to the affidavit filed with the nomination form. He  owns ₹1.79 crore worth of cash, deposits, share funds, and amounts receivable from loans, cars, and jewellery.

While Makwana does not own any land, his wife owns an agriculture land worth ₹4.52 lakh, a residential property worth ₹1.89 lakh and movable property worth ₹7.34 crore.

Makwana’s wife also owns 630 grams of gold worth ₹38.43 lakh, 8 kg of silver worth ₹4.36 lakh and a loan amount receivable of ₹2.04 crore.

Moreover, she owns cash, bank savings, and share funds worth ₹4 crore.

Makwana’s loans and liabilities include ₹61.91 lakh while his wife has ₹70.30 lakh of loans.

As per the income tax return filed by Makwana in 2018-19, he showed his income at ₹8.92 lakh and ₹9.55 lakh in 2019-20 which notably decreased in 2022-23 at ₹86,120.

His wife’s ITR showed an income of ₹5.22 lakh last year.
