Ahmedabad Traffic Police exhibits mangled cars, smashed bikes to raise awareness on road accidents

In a bid to raise awareness about accidents among Amdavadis, the Ahmedabad Traffic Police conducted a novel event concerning accidents at Science City. The event featured traffic slogans alongside mangled cars, flattened bikes, and reckless driving.
According to Ahmedabad Traffic Police, people need something that catches their attention. For this campaign, they placed cars, bikes, and scooters damaged in accidents for people to pause and ponder over road safety. At first, people were shocked to see the accident vehicles, but when read the slogans, they understood it was about road safety.
In light of numerous fatal accidents on Gujarat highways, the department had initiated this effort.
A traffic police official further stated that hit-and-run cases have been increasing in Ahmedabad recently. Addiction and reckless driving have become synonymous. To educate the new generation, they have made this innovative attempt. Over the past three days, several onlookers noticed the exhibited accident vehicles, and even took selfies with them.
