Updated: Mar 8th, 2024

In a step towards sustainability and to reduce air pollution and dispose of debris properly, the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation’s (AMC) forest and environment department will develop municipal corporation plots in different areas as debris collection centres.

Which areas will get debris collection centres?

Crystal Palace Area, SP Ring Road

Pushpa Residency, Vastral

Open space behind Kirtan Apartment, Ranip

Sorai Nagar ground, Vasna

Naroda-Dehgam Road, Naroda

ITI Road, Kubernagar

Om Shanti Nagar, near the canal, Lambha

Ramol Road, Indrapuri

Behind Samruddhi Residency, Narol

 Bhoot Ni Ambli, Raipur

Madhavbaug, near the water tank, Sarangpur

Prem Darwaja, Dariyapur

Near Dada Hari ni Vav, Asarwa

Ognaj Road, Gota

Near Sarkar Chavadi, Makarba

Three out of the fifteen waste collection centres will be renovated.

In an effort to make the city a zero-waste city, the AMC’s Solid Waste Management (SWM) department is collecting door-to-door waste via vehicles.

By keeping all systems, plants, and centres there will be a reduction in circulating dust particles which further creates health issues for people.

Citizens will be able to complain to the AMC under the SWM rules and dispose of debris by paying the necessary administrative charges.
